Making public procurement easy

Perfect Ward is now on the Government Digital Marketplace

Since publication we have been given a place on the latest iteration of the G-cloud framework, so you will now find us on G-cloud 9.

We're very pleased to announce that Perfect Ward has been awarded a place on Crown Commercial Services (CSS) G-Cloud framework agreement for the supply of Software as a Service (SaaS).

This means that public sector organisations in the UK can more easily procure Perfect Ward through the Government Digital Marketplace. The following paragraphs are from CSS, but they provide a good overview of what the framework does:

"The G-Cloud 9 framework supports the Government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function at the heart
of government.

The G-Cloud 9 framework can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.

G-Cloud 9 is fully EU compliant and provides easy access to Software-, Platform- and Infrastructure-as-a-Service, saving your organisation time and money.”

You can see the Perfect Ward listing here:

The key benefits of using the CSS G-Cloud 9 framework include (again from CSS themselves):

  • CCS is playing a vital role in helping to protect front line services by delivering significant and sustainable cost savings through its commercial activity and aggregated procurement arrangements.

  • Using this agreement will help CCS deliver savings for the public sector and the taxpayer by aggregating spend to drive best value.

  • The agreement is fully EU compliant, saving customers the time and money associated with conducting their own procurement exercise.

  • Through the competitive tender process and regular benchmarking, CCS ensures customers have access to the most competitive deals.

  • Suppliers are carefully evaluated during the tender process and pre-agreed terms and conditions offer customers sound contractual safeguards.

There's an excellent buyer's guide available online too, which gives a very good oversight of the procurement process recommended to be used alongside the Government Digital Marketplace:

About the Crown Commercial Service

Further text from CSS, but again a good summary:

"The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has brought together Government’s central commercial capability into a single organisation, amalgamating Government Procurement Service with other commercial teams from the Cabinet Office and central government departments.

CCS is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office and operates as a trading fund under the Government Trading Funds Act 1973. Their remit is to work with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery.

The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.

With both service delivery and advisory capability, services include contract management and supplier performance management to ensure that the Government acts as a true, single customer; freeing up individual organisations to focus their procurement expertise on what is unique to them."
