Gerry Bolger joins Perfect Ward as a clinical advisor

Perfect Ward is delighted to announce that Gerry Bolger, formerly the Clinical Lead for Nursing Informatics at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, has joined Perfect Ward as a clinical advisor. Gerry will provide invaluable insight to Perfect Ward to ensure its products, including the smart inspection application, fully meet the needs of front line clinicians.

Jonathan Knight, Founder of Perfect Ward:

"We're really excited to have secured Gerry’s support for Perfect Ward. As an expert in this area, Gerry’s decision to join us is a great vote of confidence in our mission to help healthcare organisations use mobile technology to improve quality and efficiency. We look forward to working with Gerry, utilising his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for how technology can help clinicians improve quality and free up time to care.”

Gerry Bolger, Clinical Advisor to Perfect Ward:

“I am delighted to be joining Perfect Ward at such a crucial time. As soon as I saw Perfect Ward, I knew that this was a product that could make a real difference to front-line staff and the quality of care they provide. I have been extremely impressed by the energy, creativity and professionalism of the Perfect Ward team and the results they have achieved with their growing client base”

Gerry follows Dr Rob Penders, a practising anaesthetist at Royal United Hospital Bath, who joined the Perfect Ward team as a clinical advisor in September 2017. Rob has a keen interest in technology and developed Survive On Call, a smartphone app to improve access of clinical and hospital-specific information for doctors on busy on-call shifts.

Survive On Call has been featured in the BMJ Open Quality journals; click here to read the full article.

Speaking of his appointment, Rob says:

“It's a privilege to join the Perfect Ward team. I have a real interest in technology and how it can improve our efficiency and the quality of care we deliver to our patients. What makes the Perfect Ward team stand out, is a real enthusiasm to engage front-line clinical staff throughout their product development. I'm looking forward to using my clinical experience to inform and assist in future projects."
